ATP and the Malt Rock

Well, Babs went off merrily to ATP after have a peek at Bessy Bitchford's new piglet. There she went to the Wig Wam Dwelling of Chief Pony and became one of the ATP sqaws, this was after an incredilbe seascape train and bus jouney and a trip to budgens too.

So the fun began for Babs with Dead Meadow, just magical rock. I have never rocked out at that time in the afternoon since my latch key days.

The evening swept by, i especailly enjoyed The Brian Jones Town Massacre with Stinks. We spotted one billiowy shirt and one jump suit, so it was not all bad fashion wise, please visit Fashion Stinks for more comments on that.

Onto Saturday and my was that wind blowing! After mastering the chalet shower and a breakfast of donuts and strong tea, i went on my merry way to the beach, which was just litterally mind and body blowing!!

I could not actually stand still as i was being blown in what i can only imagine nuclear testing sites to resemble. Camber Sands is ghostly, disused and lonely fairgorund rides calling out to be ridden, is quite spine chilling (or was that the wind?)

I wasn't really capable of listenting to The Boredems so stayed on the beach.

Of course much of my time was spent watching R Kelly "In the closet". An epic journey into the murky and confusing world of R Kelly's mind. His permenent bemused face is etched on my mind, as well as the that slowmo image of the midget jumping out of the kitchen cupboard!

Saturday evening started with face paints and Campari. Babs became Little Brook and joined the rest of the sqaws, namely Mountain Girl, Running Water and Forest Fawn.

Saturday evening ended after taking in Broken Social Scene and Sleater Kinney with a nice cup of Ovaltine made for me by Stinks - she knows how to make a good cuppa. As Stinks and I heard shouts of "Where's the Party??" We settled with our Malted Hot Milky Drink and talked of Murder Mysterious - who says we don't know how to rock out? This bliss was scuppered when Blue Skies roused us with lager - ah! what a weekend!
